Programming
ADULTS
We offer weekly programming for adults, as well as educational initiatives and workshops often in partnership with other organizations. We currently run informal centre meet-ups, a bi-monthly food donation program with Harvest Manitoba and a mobile library program.
YOUTH
MSCRC offers a weekly Kids Club suitable for ages 7 to 12. Kids do activities inside the Centre such as games, crafts and computers, as well as outdoor sports. A local facilitator and volunteers oversee the program.

Marlene Street Community Garden Box Project
In 2023, we launched a community garden box program to support local families in growing their own fresh produce. Thanks to the generous support of the Winnipeg Foundation, Jensen’s Nursery and the Winnipeg Food Council, we were able to expand the initiative this year, making it accessible to even more community members and continuing to promote food security and connection to the land.
Our weekly Beading Program provides a welcoming space for community members to connect with Indigenous culture while learning basic beading skills, expressing creativity, and building connections with others. It builds on past programming, including a Ribbon Skirt Making Workshop that offered participants the opportunity to create and engage with traditional craftwork.

Kids Club 〰️
Kids Club at Marlene Street Community Resource Centre is a fun and safe place where kids can play, learn, and make friends. There are lots of activities to enjoy, like a Halloween party, a Christmas cookie decorating workshop, and making pink T-shirts for Anti-Bullying Day. It’s a great space where kids can have fun, build confidence, and learn to be kind to each other.
