Supporting our community, one person at a time.
Marlene Street Community Resource Centre (MSCRC) is a family resource centre located at the Marlene Street family public housing development in St. Vital, Winnipeg.
Our Centre provides support and services to residents of all ages. We offer adult and youth programming. We also have weekly drop-in services and respond to emergency needs.
Everyone is welcome in our centre. Your story is important to us.
OUR MISSION
We empower families and individuals in the Marlene Street community and beyond to navigate daily issues through advocacy, partnerships, and nonjudgmental, person-centered supports and services.
MSCRC Supports These Values:
-
INVITING SPACE
The Centre is a safe and welcoming place at Marlene Street. There will be respect of the Centre’s space and physical items within it.
-
RESPECT ALWAYS
Both staff and visitors in our Centre will treat each other with respect and dignity; this includes all program participants and volunteers.
-
INCLUSION FOR ALL
We will not tolerate any discrimination in our Centre based on ability, age, culture, gender, identity, political views, race, religion or sexual orientation.
-
PRIVACY POLICY
We respect confidentiality and privacy, within the limits of Canada’s legal system.
-
SAFE ENVIRONMENT
We will not tolerate any form of physical and or verbal abuse. We will not tolerate bullying or harassment of any form, including via social media.
